You bring us a protein target and the constraints that matter. We combine multiple computational methods, cross-check where their signals agree and disagree, then return ranked, well-annotated candidates with the reasoning, uncertainty and a practical test plan.

Campaigns cover stability and solubility, multi-property optimization, protein design, enzyme optimization, complex prediction, plus linker and fusion design. Protein engineers review every campaign and make the remaining risk explicit before wet-lab handoff.

We work alongside existing scientists. Their team owns the experiments. Crane does the computational lifting needed to shrink the search space before the next lab round.

Crane starts with the lab decision, then chooses the computational route that best reduces the search space. We use a model-agnostic stack: protein language models, structure predictors, generative models and campaign-specific analyses. Independent signals are cross-checked, disagreement stays visible, and protein engineers review the final priorities.

Each campaign produces ranked candidates, explicit uncertainty and a validation plan. When experimental data comes back, the next round builds on the documented rationale instead of starting from zero.
